Yes, our online mental health services are available to both men and women.
Mosh mental health provides a range of therapy options to suit different people. These include Mental Health Counsellors as well as both Registered and Clinical Psychologists. All our therapists are individually vetted, qualified and Australian. However, there are some differences between their specialisations and how they charge for their services.
A session with a registered mental health counsellor costs $65, while a session with a clinical or registered psychologist costs $150 (though this may attract an $80 - $130 rebate from Medicare with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan). If a psychologist has chosen to 'bulk bill', it means they are claiming the Medicare rebate (if you choose to assign it to them) as full payment for their services and you pay $0 (provided you have uploaded a valid MHCP and referral letter at least 48 hours before your session).
After your doctor reviews your quiz and provides a recommendation, you will be required to have a video consult before they can write you a script. You will be able to book in a video consult after you checkout.
If your doctor does not require a video consult, you can still request one to ask any questions.
If you are prescribed medications with Mosh, you will need to check in after the first, third and sixth month, as well as every 6 months after that. You can also book in an appointment with your doctor as needed.
In Australia, Medicare offers rebates for 20 individual therapy sessions within a year with a 'Mental Health Care Plan' (otherwise known as a 'Mental Health Care Plan'). This means the government will cover $80 - $130 (depending on your therapist's specialisation) towards each session. Mosh doctors cannot write MHCPs due to Medicare requirements. To get a MHCP, you will need to book an in-person appointment with your regular GP.
To access this benefit through Mosh, you need to upload your MHCP and a referral letter from your GP at least 48 hours before your psychologist session. If you don't, your card on file will be charged for a non-Medicare session ($150).
If you cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before an appointment you will not be charged. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment or miss your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the appointment cost.
A psychologist online can help you combat anxiety or depression by providing you with strategies and skills you can use in your daily life. Let’s face it, good mental health is just as necessary as breathing. Your life depends on your mental health.
Despite this, there may be barriers to talking about your mental health struggles due to a lack of support or a place to discuss these negative emotions. Not to mention the general stigma associated with mental health issues and individuals who strive for better mental and emotional well-being. The fact that mental health issues are viewed as a sign of weakness in many cultures makes people afraid of being judged if they seek help.
Mosh is attempting to address these issues and more, as we offer a wide range of men’s health services. We utilise a completely online men’s health platform, helping you with your hair loss, sexual and mental health, and skincare concerns.
Find yourself worrying a lot about things you cannot control? Try speaking to a therapist who can help you address the reasons for your worry and strategies to help you better cope. Need your medication refilled and delivered to you? We also can do that for you. At Mosh, we offer confidential and professional psychology services and house a range of psychologists online to help you with whatever concerns you may have.
What is online psychological counselling?
Online psychological counselling is a form of remote or online psychotherapy that makes use of digital communication channels to give people the opportunity to receive help for various mental health problems.
Psychological counselling focuses on how people function in life and their relationships. When you start your online psychology appointments, you can be broad with your discussion, as psychological counselling does not have a dedicated focus on an area of life. It is there to address whatever emotional, social, work, and physical health concerns you may have.
In a typical appointment, you essentially just talk about different things going on in your life. Whether good or bad, your psychologist online helps you improve your sense of well-being and alleviate feelings of distress. They are there to help you effectively resolve your issues, give you insight into how your mind and emotions work behind the scenes, and assist you to develop strategies that allow you to better manage your emotions and feelings.
While some people may be comfortable going out of their way to seek a physical appointment, you may not be, and that’s okay. Whether you feel more safe sharing your thoughts online or offline, we at Mosh and our online psychology services are here to help.
What are the benefits of online psychological counselling?
Psychological counselling is an educational experience, even if it is done digitally. You can learn more about yourself and develop useful skills with the help of a psychologist online. These skills will help you manage your relationships and deal with emotions.
Counselling psychology helps you also learn more about particular conditions you may be affected by, such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Learning more about these conditions will help you understand treatment options for them. Your online therapists can do research for you and open up paths to help you get better.
Here is a general list of examples of what you can gain from a clinical counselling and therapy program:
At Mosh, we tackle all pain points you may feel when it comes to the healthcare industry and seeking our treatments. Through our online counselling, we offer you convenience and security, saving you time on commutes and waiting to see a mental health professional, as well as offering you discretion. We make the most of technology to provide you with Australia’s best online therapy services and more.
How often can I communicate with my psychologist?
At Mosh, we have made getting started with our services very simple. You first take a quick quiz to help match you with a psychologist and help your doctor personalise your treatment. If a prescription is appropriate for you, a doctor will make the recommendation.
From there, you start your online psychologist consultation, with the added benefit of having it whenever or wherever you want. Normally, you will have two sessions with your psychologist online each month. We also discreetly deliver your medications monthly with regular one-on-one doctor check-ins to manage your treatment plan.
Choosing one of the plans available to manage your mental health today will help you make the most of your health. Whatever you may need from our online mental health services, we offer a mix of ways to get the medication you might need, as well as access to a psychologist for assistance.
At Mosh, we do more than just provide you with efficient online mental health services.
