At Mosh, we’ve always said healthcare for Australians should be more accessible, but that ambition must be met in tandem with uncompromising quality of care.

This is why we’ve gone above and beyond to proactively become, as far as we are aware, the only dedicated digital health company in Australia accredited against the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare (NSQPCH) Standards. These are the same benchmarks trusted by leading in-person clinics across the country.

These are not typical requirements for telehealth companies, but we’ve held ourselves to these benchmarks in our efforts to ensure that we always put patients first.

Accreditation in telehealth matters now more than ever

Telehealth in Australia still faces a lack of government mandated standards, which means it is not always clear to patients which services they can trust.

It has often been left to companies to self-regulate, a practice that has to end. Mosh is eager for the government to step in to help the industry develop key guidelines to ensure that telehealth continues to provide necessary healthcare for millions of Australians.

Until it does, however, Mosh has developed industry leading safety and accountability systems that ensure patients have the best care possible.

Our accreditation means that:

  • Every treatment plan is reviewed by AHPRA-registered practitioners, operating under a clinical governance framework. This means your care is always monitored; it’s guided by practitioners who are accountable to clinical guidelines.
  • Our prescribing practices are regularly reviewed to ensure they meet the standards set by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.
  • Every patient has a chance to speak directly with a practitioner; to ask questions, talk through options, and fully understand what they have been prescribed. Your consultation with our team is a conversation, not a checkbox.
  • Our clinical team undergoes regular peer review, training, and internal audits.

How we keep patients safe

It’s important that our accreditation isn’t abstract, but reflected in real safety measures which we implement all through our system of care.

When you come to Mosh as a patient, we have clear processes at each stage to ensure that your care is delivered safely, effectively, as well as efficiently across your journey:

  • Consultation - Our practitioners ensure that medication is prescribed responsibly, taking into account comprehensive context such as your physical health, medical history, current medications, and goals - ensuring any treatment is appropriate, safe and tailored to you. This may also include video consults, follow-up messaging and additional screening before prescribing.
  • Aftercare - Our practitioners are actively invested in your health post-prescription, with check-ins designed to review how the treatment is going and ensure there are no adverse effects.
  • Holistic support - Our clinical team knows that many health concerns don't exist in isolation. That's why we take a holistic approach - connecting you with broader support to ensure your conditions are solved at the root such as nutrition support, psychological support, and dietitian services.

Raising the bar for safe, reliable telehealth

Our approach to healthcare for Australians is designed with integrity, care, and medical expertise. From how we manage medications to how we follow up with our patients, we’ve built our robust systems around safety - and then had them independently reviewed and recognised at a national level.

We believe digital healthcare can and must be just as safe, reliable and professional as traditional in-clinic care - and we’re committed to setting that standard.

FAQ about telehealth and patient safety

Patient safety in telehealth is managed through structured clinical protocols, qualified healthcare professionals, and secure digital systems. At Mosh, for example, all care is provided by AHPRA-registered practitioners who follow evidence-based guidelines, with every treatment plan reviewed by a practitioner before being prescribed.

Yes, telehealth is a trusted and widely used model of care in Australia, particularly for managing conditions like weight, skin, and hair health. At Moshy, all care is delivered online by registered Australian health practitioners. Doctors and Nurse practitioners make treatment decisions based on your medical history, photos (where needed), consultations and ongoing follow-ups, just like they would in a traditional setting, but with added convenience and discretion.

Trusted telehealth providers offer follow-up support to address side effects or any concerns. Mosh patients, for example, have access to ongoing medical reviews and can message their practitioner any time for treatment adjustments or questions.
